BLU Point’s interior boasts coastal decor that is casual, bright and open with large windows fronting Staunton’s historic main street. Lit with a warm glow, our cozy nooks, lounge area, and open community seating give the space a relaxed and casual energy. Our menu showcases New England specialties like lobster rolls and fry baskets, as well as catches straight from the Chesapeake Bay such as rockfish, blue crab, and oysters.

We offer two private dining areas, which can be combined upon request. We are able to accommodate groups of up to 100 seated guests or 160 guests for a standing reception. Whether you are planning a special group dinner, a training seminar, a celebratory party, or a corporate gathering — the BLU team is ready to bring your special event. Our menu options showcase specialties from New England and the Chesapeake Bay and our team is happy to customize your special event menu to fit your group’s special needs.

Blu Point Seafood Co features a wide range of beverages, from the classic to the handcrafted. Your guests can enjoy wine, specialty cocktails, and local, international, and craft brews. Our bar menu pairs perfectly with our dining menu.
Elevate your event experience with an oyster shooter cocktail pairing flight. While you can never go wrong with sparkling or chilled white wine, we also offer a flight of custom-created oyster shooter flights, which feature infused spirits and innovative kicks of flavor. This is a signature event offering — and you can choose the option that works best for your event, a single pairing or a flight of three pairings.
IS PARKING AVAILABLE?
Our restaurant does not have a designated parking lot. There is a covered parking garage and also a parking lot within one block of our restaurant, in addition to plentiful on-street parking.
IS THERE A ROOM RENTAL FEE?
No, we do not charge a room rental fee.
DO YOU HAVE DEDICATED STAFF FOR MY EVENT? Yes, we assign a dedicated professional team based on the specific needs of your event.
HOW LONG MAY WE RENT THE ROOM?
Every special event is different, and we strive to best accommodate your unique needs. We are flexible and happy to work with you.
IS AV EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE, AND IS THERE A CHARGE?
Audio-visual equipment is available, including a large overhead screen for group viewing. There is no charge for AV equipment.
HOW DOES THE GRATUITY WORK?
Gratuity is not included in the event check, our recommendation of 20% gratuity is customary. The gratuity will be distributed amongst the service team members working your party.
IS TAX INCLUDED?
State and local tax will be added to your bill.
WHAT TYPES OF SEATING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
We can provide a variety of seating and table configurations to best meet your needs. Maximum seated occupancy in our private dining area is 100 people.
DO I NEED TO MAKE AN ADVANCE DEPOSIT TO BOOK MY EVENT?
Yes, there is an initial deposit payable upon signature of the event agreement.
WHEN DO I PROVIDE THE GUARANTEED GUEST COUNT?
The guaranteed guest count is needed 10 business days in advance of the event.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY EVENT?
A minimum of 30-day notice is required for a full refund of your deposit. If you cancel within two weeks, you will be assessed 50% of your event’s food & beverage minimum. Cancellations that occur within five business days of the event will result in a 100% food and beverage charge
